Renovation Projects

From a broken spindle to a complete re-build, Central Joinery specialise in the repair and restoration of period staircases for both listed and non-listed buildings.
Jacobean to Edwardian, if you are fortunate enough to own a period property you can accept nothing less than the highest quality reproduction, lovingly crafted and faithful to the original staircase in every detail. On listed properties we work closely with conservation officers to ensure that all the work undertaken complies in every respect with the rules and regulations stipulated, and that the replacement stair components remain true to the past.
Our skilled machinists are able to create exact replicas of existing designs and patterns using precision copy lathes and woodworking machinery along with traditional hand crafting techniques,so you can have total confidence in our ability to provide exactly what you are looking for from day one.

We are equipped with the latest CAD technology and each flight is produced by our skilled and experienced workforce aided by the latest CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to enable us to produce a top quality product every time. Depending on the style of staircase we can normally deliver your purpose made item within 2-4 weeks.
